Mowing in Brookfield
Brookfield homes are mostly from the 1990s to the 2010s, on blocks of about 450 to 650 m² (newer lots 322 to 532 m²). Most have a medium front lawn and a bigger back one.
For example, a 492 m² block on Kallara Road has about 163 m² of lawn plus a 29 m² nature strip. The estimate there is $60–90 a visit, mowed fortnightly with normal grass. Type your address above to see yours.
- Nature strip: City of Melton asks every resident to mow the strip outside their home, and corner blocks look after the side strip too. Ours is included in the price.
- Clippings: Melton's green FOGO bin is 120 L and collected fortnightly. Clippings go in your bin; if it's full, say so in the questions and we'll price taking them away.
- Mowing hours: EPA rules allow mowers from 7 am to 8 pm on weekdays, and 9 am to 8 pm on weekends and public holidays. We stick to them.
- Seasons: lawns here slow right down from June to August and come back from mid-September. Fortnightly visits through spring and summer cost 10% less than one-offs.

Every visit runs the same way, so you always know what's going on.
- We tell you when we're coming.Your booking page shows the day and its forecast, and you get a text when we're on our way.
- You don't need to be home.Leave the side gate unlocked or tell us the code; it stays on our job sheet only. If you have a dog, keep it inside while we mow; we won't open a gate with a dog loose in the yard.
- Watch it get done.Your booking page ticks off each job as we go: front, back, nature strip, edges, blow, clippings, gate shut.
- Left tidy.Clippings in your green bin, or taken away if we agreed that. Paths, driveway and porch blown clear, gate shut behind us.

Straight answers
I got a nature strip notice from the council. Can you help?
Yes. The nature strip is included in every visit, and we can do just the strip if that's all you need. See nature strip notices for the council's rules and how to book.
I got a fire prevention notice for long grass. Can you help?
Yes, on house blocks and vacant house blocks: we cut it down and can take the clippings away. Pick "Knee high" and "One-off" in the questions. See fire prevention notices for what the notice means and how to book before the due date.
Is the online price final?
No. It's an estimate from your block size and your answers. We text you a fixed price after seeing the lawn, in person or from a photo, and before any work starts.
Why do you need my address?
Your address is how we find your block on Vicmap, the Victorian government's land map. That gives us the block size, so you don't have to measure anything or wait for someone to come and look.
What happens to the clippings?
They go in your green FOGO bin if it has room. If it's usually full, untick that box on the last question and we'll sort it out when we confirm your price.
The grass is really long. Can you still do it?
Yes. Choose "Getting long" or "Knee high or more" and the first visit is priced for it. After that it's back to the normal price.
Do you do big blocks?
Online prices are for standard house blocks. For blocks over about 2,000 m², acreage, or shared grounds, we price after a look.
